Walls insulated with denim, solar-paneled roofs and roof-top organic fruit gardens were among the smart, green design features students at Al Bateen School built into their sustainable “eco-houses”.
The school was one of 30 in Abu Dhabi participating in Sustainability Week in Schools, an initiative organized by Mubadala and Masdar in association with Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) as part of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.
