The Genes in Space results are out, which means one budding scientist is a step further in reaching their dream of working in the space industry.
Dubai based student, 14-year-old Alia Almansoori, who attends Al Mawakeb School in Al Barsha, was announced winner of the second intake of the Genes in Space competition after presenting her experiment to a panel of judges.
Alia’s winning proposal focused on studying protein expression changes that might help protect astronauts from unwanted cell death.
