Before Abdulla Al Muhairbi conquered South America’s tallest mountain he thought the challenge would be mainly physical. The 25-year-old civil engineer admits he was wrong.
“I now realize it’s a mental thing,” he said. “You’re outside your comfort zone and you have to be ready for absolutely everything; from freezing cold temperatures and lack of oxygen, to not showering for ten days.
“It really made me grateful for everything we have here in the UAE.”
