Dr Fatima Al Dhaheri, a 26-year-old Emirati, has a dream: to use the knowledge and experience she gains from her internship with an American children’s hospital to improve pediatric medicine back in the UAE.
“That is my ultimate goal,” said Dr Al Dhaheri, who last year became the second UAE national to join a program at the Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation at the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington.
